Challenge
The greatest purpose of the communications area of this regional project was to publicize the findings and achievements of the social and scientific organizations that worked in collaboration with the program. Thus, the main focus was to increase our audience on Instagram and Facebook, as well as subscribers to the monthly newsletter.
Process
I focused on three content pillars:

Educational
-
Created and curated infographics that explain the significance of Hotspots and depict the current and former state of the Tropical Andes region.
-
Worked closely with experts to ensure the accuracy of information presented to the general public.

Informational
-
Regularly updated the Program's weekly blog to showcase the latest achievements and discoveries of our partners.
-
Edited short videos that showcase the remarkable biodiversity of the Biodiversity Hotspot.

Entertainment
-
Provided regular reminders to our partners about the CEPF-hosted Photo Contest 2020 through our newsletter, resulting in our entry winning the Facebook audience award.
-
Created the content, including graphic designs and videos, for the Final Evaluation Workshop.
